Why do you practice yoga?
I practice yoga because I love how “all the feels” that I get on the mat, physical and mental, are transferable to my everyday life. Yoga helps me untie the knots in my body and mind through breath, movement, and stillness. When I’m not tangled up physically and mentally, I am able to move more easily, swing (a golf club) more freely, and have stronger connections with myself and others!
Who/what inspires you?
For me, inspiration is everywhere. I get inspired by people, ideas, sights, stories, experiences, places, and spaces on the regular, it is hard to narrow it down to just one who or what! If I had to choose a simple concept that is inspirational to me almost daily, it’s the realization of how big the little things are.
What can you not live without?
Love and my little dachshund, Birdie.
What would no one guess about you?
I just gave it away in my answer to the first question, but those that don’t know me probably would not guess that I am an avid/competitive golfer. Oh, and I can wiggle my ears! I really like to wiggle them while in tree pose, you know, always trying to find that edge!
What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?
I kind of wish I could say I did something badass like wrangle a Crocodile while traveling alone in the Amazon, however, that is not the case…Making the decision to call Naples, FL home when all of my family members live out-of-state has been a personally adventurous move for me though!
Where is your hometown?
I was born and raised for a little bit in Queenstown, MD, consider Phoenix, AZ my “hometown,” and am now happy to call Naples, FL (and YogaLab) home!
